Early Celtic Christianity - Scotland 10 Days

Early Celtic Christianity - Scotland 10 Days

Starting in Glasgow, we will be exploring the Abbey of Iona, founded by Irish monk Saint Columba during the time of the Celtic Kingdom of the Sea, otherwise known as Dal Riada. The west coast of Scotland, where Christianty was brought to from Ireland, is a fascinating place. The Pictish King of Scotland was first converted on the banks of Loch Lomond in the 6th century AD.

We'll be exploring St. Ninian's Priory at Whithorn in the south of Scotland, one of the first major religious centres in the country. To this day it is an incredibly important historical site. We are keen to share this unexplored region with those who will enjoy their Spiritual Journey as much as us.
