Golf the Greatest of Coastal Scotland 8 Days

Golf the Greatest of Coastal Scotland 8 Days

Embark to Scotland, embracing the warmest Scotch hospitality - it will be full swing from Day One!

Golf the most iconic courses in the world in the Home of Golf, Scotland. Arrive in Edinburgh, the Athens of the North, and we'll take you to the Golf Coast in East Lothian just outside the city for a couple of rounds on some of the world's best Links Courses. Of course, everyone knows Scotland to be the birthplace of the game and the country has well in excess of 550 courses, the most famous and well known being "The Old Course" at St. Andrews. After a couple of days in your Edinburgh luxury hotel, where you'll experience a tremendous amount of beautiful culture, great bars and fantastic cuisine, not to mention a  few "wee drams" of Scotch whisky, you'll be brought to St. Andrews itself where you'll spend two nights at the famous Old Course Hotel which overlooks the Old Course . You'll get a walking tour of the course and see first hand the Royal and Ancient building as well as explore the British Golf Museum in your free time, a fascinating exhibit with an upstairs cafe overlooking the scene of the West Sands, the setting for the opening shots from the famous film "Chariots of Fire."

You'll play the Old Course and one of the other Championship courses locally, as well as getting your picture on the famous Swilken Bridge and some sightseeing - St. Andrews was the sight of the Scottish Reformation and there's the Cathedral, University, and historic Castle all within short walking distance of your hotel. A local specialist will explain many interesting facts of the game and the funniest and most important moments of the British Open held here over the years.

From St. Andrews we're going to bring you to a couple more courses including Carnoustie and Gleneagles, both of which have hosted the British Open on numerous occasions. You'll revel in the clean air, warm hospitality, sporting history and company of your partners fully enjoying the best of Scotland. With the golfing almost done, we'll have you play a unique final course at Loch Lomond, in the heart of the National Park, then you're down to Glasgow, Scotland's largest city, and one of its many cultural capitals, rounding off the trip.
