Itinerary

 

 

DAY 1: Cape Town

 

Meet and greet at the airport before making the short journey to our centrally located hotel. Spend the afternoon familiarising yourself with a city tour before enjoying a dinner in the VA area of the city by the waterfront

 

DAY 2: Table Mountain and Robben Island

 

After breakfast we head to the iconic Table Mountain, where you can choose to either hike up or take the cable car. Enjoy incredible views and plantlife as we take a lunch here. Once we head back down, we then head to the historic Robben Island to learn more about Nelson Mandela and South African politics.

 

DAY 3: Start the Garden Route!

 

We head out of Cape Town and drive through the Garden Route. We will stop for lunch at a local vineyard to sample a nice variety of delicious wines. Along the way we will also see more stunning scenery courtesy of the Black Mountains in the area before arriving at our hotel in Mossel Bay, our home for the next 2 nights.

 

DAY 4: Distillery tour plus activities

 

After breakfast we will visit a local distillery. As South Africa is home to so many vineyards, there are also many other drinks made here such as brandy, absinthe and more! Sample a few local delights before taking a lunch at another local vineyard. Taste some of the local meats which are very popular here and full of flavour, such as Ostrich and Springbok. In the afternoon, choose to either relax by the beach or pool, or for the more adventurous traveller feel free to take part in some of the local activities on offer. These range from Ziplining, Scuba Diving and a Speedboat tour to canoeing and kayaking. These can be arranged with your guide in advance

 

DAY 5: Return to Cape Town

 

Our last full day takes us back to Cape Town, but not before a nice stop off for lunch along the way at another local vineyard. Like all vineyards here, you will have the option to taste the different wines made here and learn a bit more about the process before having the option to purchase some - either as gifts or for your own enjoyment! We then arrive at our hotel to enjoy dinner and reflect on the previous days of very fine food and drink.

 

DAY 6: Depart

 

After breakfast we will transfer you to the airport, either to return home or to connect with one of the base trips that we offer in Africa
